Hey, I've been asking about and it's not too clear to me. The GOG version supports uploading renamed stuff and bases/races, right? Does this require running the game through the Galaxy client to do so?

I use the Galaxy Client and the online features work just fine. But I think the client is not necessary to use the online options.

In game, in Options, you'll see if you are conneced to "Online Services". Client or no-client.
That is the bonus with using GoG.

Yes, you are correct and you do have to be connected and playing through the Galaxy Client to rename new discoveries although you can play the game without doing so. Was going to include the link instead of just making a statement but hello games is redirecting all no-mans-sky.com traffic to the Pathfinder Update web page making it impossible to get to the faqs, submit a support request/report a bug, etc.

You won't be able to access any Steam Workshop online features via our GOG version, that is just for Steam only.
