Hi,

i'm stumped. No idea what I'm doing wrong, but it seems like I can't run NMS in VR mode usingg the setup in my title. When I launch the game, it asks for controller bindings to be setup in Steam VR, but it appears to be a manual thing. I have no idea what to do, so I was hoping someone happens to have my weird setup and has fixed the issue.

Is there a controller binding file available somewhere for Samsung Odyssey in Windows Mixed Reality?
Are there settings that I'm missing that enables the game for my headset?

I have the same problem. I know they have made good controls on Steam for this but I can't seam to find them. I think the problem is that I have added NMS as a non steam game. If it was bought through Steam maybe the search would come up with the working config. I don't know how to search for the working config as is though :(

I hope someone from Hello Games see's this. Looking forward to playing in VR.
Hi, I have the same headset....

I also bought the Steam version a couple of days ago and was getting the same Binding setup screen in Steam as I was getting when running NMS from COG and had the Steam Windows Headset Portal going as well as the Windows VR portal.

IN the Steam version I was getting the community uploaded binding settings, all mainly for using Vive ones.... the Top right one is what I chose and its now running NMS Steam VR Version excellently.

I would suggest in using the GOG version plus WIN VR Portal, have the Steam VR running as well and if you get to the Community uploaded Bindings try selecting the one as above...I have to try this myself next..Laurie

Tried and I get to a screen for setting the Bcontroller bindings to the NMS EXE file...theres a bunch of icon images across the top and below a headset outline... its asking me to set Chords and another thing for the controllers which I dont yet know what they are....

I guess this is what Hello Games need to figure out and preload into their NMS exe for Windows VR....??? Laurie

I have the game running in VR. My problem is that the only keybinds it shows me are from 1/30/2019 and don't work :(
The problem seams to be that no one has made a binding for NMS.exe. Only for the Steam version and whatever file it uses to start the game. We just need someone to copy that keybinding over to the NMS.exe

That's fuckin' stupid on HG's part... no wonder the keybinds are borked for us non-VR users!
There is no key - mapping in any version of NMS Beyond belief.
I have been Googling binding the WIN 10 VR controllers and found this from Microsoft..... they are using Steam VR to do this btw

https://www.windowscentral.com/how-use-windows-mixed-reality-no-mans-sky-beyond

I can get to the similar/same screen at "8" on WIN 10 VR but stuck as I dont know the actual binding settings etc to try nor use yet...

Update: tried but cant get that screen "8" (which seems to be for Steam as there is a warning Steam not available etc" to work for NMS Gog version started in Galaxy....

To me its looking like NMS Steam cersion is set to work in VR there, however here in NMS Gog its not set up to run in VR yet...independantly of Steam, not even just on Windows VR....NMS Beyond now on 2.06g here....

To get NMS running in VR you must start Steam VR first. Have it ready to play a game. Then remember to add the command line to NMS in GoG Galaxy . ' -HmdEnable 1 ' That will get you running but the controlls wont work as of yesterday.

I even tried the crazy task of binding everything myself but was unsuccessfgul. I opened a support ticket with Hello Games in hopes to have some closure and suggest everyone in a similar situation does the same thing.
Got it working!! Thank you to the dude that added the keybindings!!!

What did you do to get it working specifically?
well...
1. start WMR
2 start Steam VR
3 launch NMS from gog Galaxy. Click More go down to Other and click on the OpenVR option.

That should get it to load for you.

At that point you will need to chose a keybinding. I just choose the newest one.

Works great. Sure hope they add default bindings so that the in game prompts show the correct keys all the time.

I didn't find a working binding from the controller binding menu for NMS. All of them resulted in dead motion controlers. I wound up mapping my own binding and have been mostly successful, but for some reason on foot controls dont seem to work properlly.

Is there any way to view or install other peoples bindings? I wish I could see the joystick and trackpad settings for the "on foot" menu. I think I've tried everything to enable joystck controls, but no luck. I couldnt get point to move or teleport to work either, so my character is just standing on planets.
