Ok, I can now tell I consider my base on Irashk finished, just need a few pimp on decoration!

I hope i'll get some VR set soon to explore it with!

Other topic : Thanks for the link share, i need new MT, i'll go there for sure! I had my current main MT with a link found on reddit too, long ago.
Two S-24 multitools at the same outpost. What are the odds? One has better specs but they're both decent. Specs in the filename, portal code in the pictures. There's also a lower spec MT that shows up occasionally.

The outpost is in the valley below my base, so just follow the base icon and land at the outpost nearby. Visit the butterfly house on the other mesa.

Doing good. I'm putting the stuff together to submit it. Thanks!
If they need ideas to add weird creaturees and/or trees, i have enough ideas to call it patch 3.0 :p

I think more diversity is coming sometime in the future, because there is such a great demand for it.

But remember, each time they change the procedural generation, it causes problems for the players.

Foundation, Atlas Rises, and Next all brought us universe resets to add in new stuff. But players awakened the next day to discover some bases underground, high in the air, or their planets changed biomes, like from tropical to radioactive, and so on.

The Abyss did not reset the universe, because the underwater areas are governed by a different parts of the software than the land areas. So they were able to change the underwater areas and leave the land untouched, but there were still some problems for players.

So more diversity is probably coming, but only after HG works out how to help the players with their problems, ie a new in-game technology, or an option to "rescan" your save file, or some other such thing.

..., or some other such thing.
I agree changes in that part can cause huge side effects.
As per myself, i'd lose everything I have in a hard reset of the game, just to have this feeling back when I land on a planet "what will I find there?"

But I agree from their point of view it can be a real struggle to implement and test.
If I recall correctly, the transition from Atlas Rises to the Next release was the last full reset. All existing bases were wiped and their contents placed into the Base Salvage Capsule. Lots of things simply disappeared: Heridium, Thamium-9, and many many others. Massive changes to technology; no more Tau, Theta, and Gamma upgrades for example. A complete revision of the landscape generation. Land forms were totally different so that even if it had been possible to find the same location on a planet (this was before the latitude and longitude displays) it would have been unrecognizable.

There was one minor procedural change post-Next which principally changed climate types and biomes but left the land forms pretty much intact. Bases were unaffected.

There has been a huge expansion in both the number and complexity of bases which was enabled by the changes from Next on forward. In Atlas Rises you got one base at a time made from the classic "round room" parts. Now, bases can be established in multiple systems and even multiple galaxies and they are far more complex.

Before the Next update dropped, many players (me included) disassembled everything and stored resources in a fleet of haulers. Even with the massive increase in storage capacity, I'm not sure that's possible for prolific base builders.

But starting over isn't a bad thing. I began a new save with Next and that avatar is now wandering around Elkupalos with a full bank account and some fear-no-pirate ships. Plus one still exploring Euclid along with the avatar from Atlas RIses that I finally reloaded.

So, HG, bring it on!
