So Gog, when is it going to happen?

Phoobie: So Gog, when is it going to happen?
Yes please answer it, we have a lot of patchs every so often with the same bug fixes and additions than the rest of versions, but no one include this, despite of being almost the same program as steam version, only our online features go through gog galaxy, so we have the online platform.
Same price should serve same service.

Yes it should... so go ask steam to remove drm, to give a 30 day money back gurantee.....

Same price with a different but equal service ... wtf do you want for what price?!?!

No Man's Sky was my first and only purchase from GoG, I have seen their customer support in action and their lack of any reply to issues like this one. It may have only been one game but if asked I could honestly say "Buy from GoG if you want a 2nd party game provider that will not provide the same features as Steam, and not even explain the why's and why not's"

I am just glad I have saved ever single floppy from my old gaming days and for the ability for Dosbox to make them work with a little effort, makes the need for a company like this far less great. If I want to buy a newer more modern game I will find a different more reliable source.
The fact that GOG hasn't bothered to have a Multiplayer server for this game is crazy. The game is So much better when friends are hanging out... I have the PS4 version, had 8 friends in one area, sandbox mode of course, it was fun... I spent hours just talking w/ them...

Somehow I doubt that it's just that easy, more than likely the Ghost multiplayer relies on Steamworks and Hello Games just went ahead and enabled it even though they didn't have an alternative to offer for Galaxy.
Based on what I have read the multiplayer is kind of limited and rather basic right now and relies on VOIP (Voice Over Internet Protocol) which is the main thing you can do right now. Galaxy does not currently support VOIP like Steamworks does, so I would imagine it is a technical limitation keeping the MP from on GOG until GOG adds VOIP to Galaxy or until the MP offers something more than basic talking to other players.

Anyway, I just took a shot in the dark and emailed Hello Games Support to see if they would provide a Steam key with a valid proof of purchase here on GOG since the GOG version is missing features. I'll update this post if they provide a key, as some publishers will do so if you ask.
And let's be honest here, the MP aspect of NMS is super weak, even when it works. Your not missing much. It's not CoD level MP or even close. So it's weird to see people complain about a feature that does not even give classic MP gameplay. You'll never be getting large PvP combat or anything like that. NMS never was about MP (despite some infamous fumbles from Sean around that!).

Better look to Elite: Dangerous or the upcoming Star Citizen for all that. Steam has it's own built in stuff to allow the weak MP that NMS can do, GOG Galaxy does not have that, but then again it is DRM free and does not require a client to play the game.
