Experimental Patch dont work for me. I though it supports now my Phenom XII1100. but it crashed like before after intro "hello games". no changes after.

somebody has some idea? what else can be the problem?
Is it available here? :)

But yeah, you don't have sse3. That havok runs on, according to "experimental notes" on the steam forums.

Honestly a bit weird, all of it. Because sse3 is a sort of "ease of use" extension set, not a replacement. And why would they add something in the rendering path that requires a different/later instruction set than the actual game. Makes no sense.
no here. i just take the system information there.
i dont know why but it appears in my channels with beta channels on.
try type 3xperimental there and after my uninstall it was there too.

if i install a other cpu like a amd fx8350 is there a change it will be work?

Yes. And. ..both am2 and am3 sockets have processors with sse3 support.

I'd wait a little while if I were you. May be that they can turn the wallowing space-cale off and drop the sse3 requirement later. At least wait a few days and see if they get anywhere with it.
but i have sse3 still with this system..
but no ssse3 :-?

and i have here a amd fx8350 that support it mb. so any other have tried this before or with some specification near mine?

I got access to the steam experimental patch through a friend with family sharing. My phenom 1055t will play the game with an SSSE3 emulator available from Intel. You can get the link from other posts in the forum. Since the experimental patch on steam removes the SSE4.1 requirement, the emulator only has to emulate SSSE3, which takes a lot less system usage. I can get 60 FPS with the occasional judder or freeze when loading new areas on my phenom. It's just a matter of waiting til the devs push out the patch to GOG, then we will be able to do OT with the game we bought.

Thing is, every CPU you could get for the socket, even though it maybe newer and support the necessary instruction sets, will be slower or equal than the X6 1100T. I think it is still the fastest "real" 6-core CPU AMD built.

I will wait for a patch and get a refund if they do not get it working with the Phenoms.

I was planning on updating at the end of the year anyway to the next platform with DDR4 memory support, but I want to wait what AMD has in store with Zen at the end of the year before I do a complete platform upgrade. Not now, not for one single game. If they do not get it to work with the Phenoms and I get the refund, I can get the game at Christmas or later, with the advantage that it will also be cheaper.

Just my 2 cents.

This is me:

CPU

Model : AMD FX(tm)-8350 Eight-Core Processor
Logical cores : 8
CPUID : AuthenticAMD family 15, model 2, stepping 0

I run the game flawlessly with zero lag... i also have a GTX 970 on 368.81 drivers.
That's the original text from Steam about the changes of the experimental patch from Hello Games:

"Here’s what’s different

Improved AMD Phenom Support
Thousands of lines of assembly have been rewritten overnight to support AMD CPUs. Unfortunately whilst the game code no longer relies on anything above SSE 2, Havok Physics still requires “Supplemental SSE 3”, which was not supported until “Bobcat” and above. We’re discussing with Havok.

Alt-Tab has improved
Some systems/configs were crashing or not pausing correctly on Alt Tab. This should now be resolved.

Shader Caching
Framerate was initially stuttering due to shaders not being correctly cached by the GPU on some systems. We have replaced the GPU caching system. You may notice some stutter during the Galactic Map intro to the game (the very first time you run), but it should be smoother from then on (this will be fixed in future). This is particularly true on ATI cards

Mouse Jitter
Smoothing on mouse movement has been improved to prevent hitching or stuttering, and is now adjustable through the Options menu in “Mouse Smoothing”.

Max FPS Cap
On some CPU/GPU configurations, setting Max FPS to 60 or 30 was not giving 60 or 30 FPS (causing stuttering). This has been improved.

Improved Performance
On CPUs with 4 threads or fewer, performance has been improved.

Intel GPUs
The game will now let you know if you are trying to run with an unsupported GPU. This will hopefully flag for some users that their high end GPU has not been selected.

Gsync
Gsync has been disabled by default, which was causing an issue for some users"

ok now the Experimental patch please
The AMD Phenom II lacks Supplemental SSE3 and SSE4.1/4.2 support, which was already present in the first-generation Intel Core i7. According to Wikipedia, support for those instruction sets only became available on AMD CPUs starting with the Bulldozer CPU in 2011 (for SSE4) and the Bobcat APU (for SSSE3). Hopefully a workaround will be patched-in soon.

I would say Phenom II support SSE3 >look at this pic

lcualoping: Yes, the original SSE3, not Supplemental SSE3. It's confusing, I know.
Yeah that's right called SSSE3 that's not supported it was my fault :) thanks !
So that's the new thing:

quote from Steam:

"SSE4.1 seems to no longer be an issue. However, as outlined in the article above, SSSE3 is required for Havok physics. Since most CPU's that don't support SSE4.1 also don't support SSSE3 (e.g. AMD Phenom series), the game still crashes. This new issue is also being worked on. "
