It's quite frustrating yes, Let's see if we have the updatel for tomorrow.
While we don't get the update ready, multiplayer seems not be working right now for GOG version.

At least it was til yesteday, today everytime i go to network options, it tells me that can't reach the server, something like that.

Backend netcode update for the game prepping for expeditions?

ChewyWeAreNotHome: Not currently available to GOG but version 3.3, Expeditions has been released.

Big change is an additional mode dedicated to playing with imaginary friends.

Also restarts weekend quicksilver missions.

Trying to copy and paste the changelog to the Changelog Thread but the system is having a nervous breakdown right now so have only been able to post part of the changelog.

Spurt: How long until this patch reaches us here on GoG? Frustrating waiting to catch up to others...
GOG is located in Poland so there frequently are time zone related delays. However, the fact that GOG is not mentioned in any of the Twitch information although Steam is it may indicate that GOG is not compatible. This has happened in both of the multiplayer updates. The first time the problem was never fixed and the second took about six months before compatibility could be created.

Versions are not aligned now to connect to MP main version until GoG updates patches Expeditions :/

This makes me sad and also cautious of supporting GoG in the future as i've been trying to :/

I just bought it on steam as well now :( But at least i can play instead of sitting here with my junk in my hand.

Ah ok. Forgot there may be a delay for the GOG update. Was wondering what was going on when I didn't have the Expeditions option.
Update just showed up , 1.41G , i'm NA / EST time zone (5:00AM)

PS: I was reading Sean's Murray post about a bug with expeditions finishing abruptly with no reason, he confirms that they are working on a fix on experimental on Steam

so it's safe to assume we should get fix after them so later today

It's available now for offline players, too :)

Which features are you referring to? What exactly has never been fixed in the GoG version?

This was discussed in many threads over the years. First a feature was added that basically only showed when other players were nearby and that feature was never enabled for GOG. A more interactive and cooperative mode was added but GOG initially was not able to support that and it took approximately six months before GOG was able to able to make the hardware and software changes on their side to support that.

Can't blame GOG for these problems because the developer (Hello Games) made these changes without first verifying that one of their (Hello Games) chosen distributors could support those new additions to the game.

It was the orbs, little floating orbs of light.... they had issues getting gog multiplayer to work... now we can coop with steam (on select games) as long as the devs allow it to happen so this should really be a nonissue anymore... maybe I'm over simplifying it. But I remember playing AvP with a steam player though galaxy with no issues, worked great!

I do hate that Hello and Sean never show the GOG symbol in any of their marketing. When VR came out we were all left in the dark thinking that we would be forgotten. Hello and Sean were dead silent and never once mentioned GOG.
Have you guys already found bugs/crashes ?

I find the game more laggy while trying to work on the expeditions mode along with all others players on same server.

Got already 2 random crashes while in station and a bug where all npcs were laying down.

Already reported.
Apparently a new patch 3.34 has been released but not available on GOG yet,
I could play with a friend of mine who plays on Steam till right before he updated his game to 3.34,
so guess I can't join his game now because he's on a different version since GOG is still on 3.33?

Hopefully it won't take long to get the 3.34 update on GOG, I just don't understand why
it always receives the updates way after the other platforms.

Yes exactly, you have to wait until the patch is released on GOG until you can play with your friends again.

However the reason why it takes a bit longer on GOG is that the patches need to be made manually by GOG (so I was told by GOG themselves). If they have a lot to do it takes longer.
