Benzin1973: Can you be a little more specific so maybe we can help you?

What doesnt work exactly? It doesnt launch? it crashes? whats the problem?

makasouleater69: It works unless you want to play Multiplayer with some one who owns the steam game, then it doesn't. I agree though they should not be allowed to sell this game, it is just confusing that there is cross platform on pc which is stupid. The mp on this is useless and always will be. The version on here should be like 5 bucks.
If you want to play multiplayer with Steam users, buy the Steam version. If you really don't care buy from the marketplace you prefer.

I bought this game in the sale, and apart from a few issues where the game loses focus (i.e. something else takes the primary focus of my machine and I can not alt-tab back) I have had no problems with the game at all.

It's not confusing at all. The so-called "multiplayer" platform used by the Steam version is the *Steam* multiplayer platform--not the creation of HG. That's why the Steam game had MP from the start but the GOG version didn't--HG had to custom write a MP version for the GOG version--which predictably has taken a while...;) It's not an issue for me since I don't do MP and had no interest in it for this game.

BTW, GOG not only clearly announced in high profile from the start that their version of NMS did not yet have a MP component, GOG immediately offered refunds to anyone who had paid for the game expecting it to have a MP component. Customers need to *read* things and become *aware* of what they are buying--I'm not even interested in MP and I read the GOG announcement--up for a good while, IIRC. Consumers always screw up when they *assume* things without verifying their assumptions, first. BTW, GOG still offers a 30-day money-back guarantee. Why do you think this is GOG's fault, exactly?...;)
