They think we are idiots or what? ;(

Agreed as that's usually an insta-dealbreaker for me, in particular any FP game, hopefully once it goes down to -65% it will be fixed by then... I hope, but yeah if it's not; fuck' em!

I don't understand why they lie to people, why not to say "we know the problem and we'll fix it ASAP or eventually. WTH, we are loyal customers, after all their shit at the initial launch of the game ;(

Can anyone else confirm that it has been addressed and patched in version 2.09?

Ok, thank you! I think.. So you can't remap keys by just pressing the key you want used? You have hold in the shift-key to map it to a regular key? Say, Shift+E for e? Sounds very confusing. Sorry.

Existing remaps are preserved. Note that keys must be mapped to upper-case letters, which are indicated on the remap screen with a box around the glyph.

Also, rereading my comment quoted above, it is a bit confusing. It's only the keyboard remapping function that has to see a capital letter. Once the new key is mapped to the action, lower case keys are recognized as well in-game.
One final gotcha. The control mapping interface uses capital-X as the "delete entry" key because reasons, so it's not possible to map X to any action. Workaround: edit TKGAMESETTINGS.MXML (after making a backup) and change the remap for the indicated action to "KeyX"

For example, I first saw this with the "j" and "b" keys once remapping had been restored in Experimental. I could not perform the assigned functions with either the remapped key or with the default key. I tried to redo some of the keys that were not working and saw that the software displayed the assigned key in uppercase although I had typed in the lowercase. now I could again jump using "j" and land using lower case "L," etc.
Whoever came up with the lunacy of assigning left-shift to sprint should be sentenced to life without parole was the user is already holding "w" down. I use "b" for that as it used to be called "boost."
