Hello, I waited until the counter went to 100% so I can get the Myth Beacon, which I purchased for 80 Quicksilver. It then showed I had acquired it but it did not complete the expedition task. I then purchased a 2nd one and still no change. I then deleted both myth beacons and purchased another one. still no change. I then logged out of the game and rebooted my laptop. I then went back into the game and the task in the log for acquiring the myth beacon was no longer there and it was then directing me to go to the way point in space to get to the right system to get to the alien artifact. I completed task 4 and received the rewards. I then followed the signal and got the special S-Class Stealth Frigate and completed the 5th task in the expedition and received all rewards except for the 3rd since it still says I need to acquire the Mytj Beacon again. When I click that task in Expedition it sends me to the log page with no task to perform. Please help me with this so I can complete the whole Expedition 2 Beachhead Mission.

Did you update to 3.41 before buying the Myth Beacon?

Best thing to do is to restore a back up of the most recent manual save and resume from there. An automatic save might also work as long as it was prior to obtaining the Myth Beacon. Then install 3.41 if not already done before resuming the game.

Otherwise you might have to wait until another patch comes out. You can submit a ticket request through the Hello Games on Zen Desk but you will not receive anything other than the automated response. Hello Games will either fix this or will not but have read that many are reporting problems if they install 3.41 after buying the Myth Beacon.

EDIT: Another, probably less desirable, option would be to delete the Community Mission save and start the Beachhead mission over. It only takes 5-10 hours to recover the lost progress.

Thanks for this response. Unfortunately I did this prior to the 3.41 update. I read about letting the update happen first and then performing the purchase. I would go back to my previous manual save but it is from 3 days ago and I right now do not want to back track that far. I will wait and hopefully Hello games will patch this otherwise I will go back to the manual save when there is 4 days left, since I did a bunch of atlas missions along the way i do not want the lose.

Might be fixed. New patch released to 3.42. See Changelog thread for patch notes.

EDIT: For what little it may be worth this patch fixed my problem. I needed to warp a great distance but after several warps it would stop providing the path. After this patch I was able to hobble my way to the end and it was a long walk.
