Support already told me I might have to. Just wondered if it worked for any other non-GOG Galaxy users.
Thanks in advance!

I haven't used GOG Galaxy to patch and it does work fine for me. However the patch is not called 1.60, but:

patch_no_mans_sky_1.59_(23493)_to_experimental__(23826)

Patches in the Backup Download are NOT cummulative, which means that if for example you have installed the 1.57 version of the game, then you must go through ALL patches from 1.57 to 1.60 (the above one, and the most recent at this time).

I thought I been keeping up with the patches, but I just found 158g on my hard drive and installed it. ... then installed patch_no_mans_sky_1.59_(23493)_to_experimental__(23826).

Seems to be at 1.60 now... I just don't understand why they don't call it 159g to 1.60 patch...
Thanks!

Yes I figured out that 1.58g is the equivalent of 1.59, but how is the average person suppose to know that? When you look at the download list- it just makes no sense. Where is 1.60?

Yes I understand your confusion, I was confused too and then checked the notes to see if new features/corrections were in the game, so I figured out that 1.58g was 1.59 and the one with 'experimental' in the name is 1.60. Usualy they don't mess with version names, but: the build nummer gives you the right pointer when updating: 23493 to 23826 etc.
