I D/L'd the game files, installed without trouble. But I have no Network settings (in Options) and Community Expeditions says "download failed". This isn't new, but I haven't touched NMS since NEXT. I'm hoping things had changed or someone had found a way to let the GOG version connect for MP action, or Community Expeditions, (or twitch drops - that'll be the day), etc. I prefer not to use Galaxy (just another program running taking resource) but will if need be.

So, is there Any Way to Get Online/Network/MP Working?

You need to run Galaxy to access multiplayer and online play.

As ditchinit already said, you need GOG Galaxy to use online features.

But if you want to avoid GOG Galaxy as much as you could, you can start GOG Galaxy, then start your Offline Version of te game, and then shutdown GOG Galaxy, after you started the offline version of the game.

Now you can use some online features such as expeditions.

I finally got around to using GOG Galaxy. Yes indeed, online works now. And I can quit I can close Galaxy and still be online. Thank you everyone.
