Come on GOG, this game has been on my wishlist for months waiting for just such a sale.

Hoping I don't have to resort to buying it on Steam just to save some money.

The NEXT update is coming out soon, and going off past update releases, there will likely be a sale around this time. Whether that means a comparative discount, who's to say...

There's also the issue of not knowing if NEXT will bring full multiplayer to GOG, like what's promised for Steam. With the Atlas Rises update, we didn't get the [limited] MP features, and afaik no details have been confirmed about it coming with NEXT... so wait and see and decide then, I guess. >_<

Fingers crossed there's a good discount for you guys + full features!

GOG doesn't control the discounts, that's up to the dev or pub.

PSA: It's $25 on GMG right now.

And rather worryingly while it DISAPPEARS from GOG's front page all the time since the no mp fiasco (was at number 1 Bestseller before it suddenly went!), it is still on sale at Steam (50% off) but not here on GOG?

What is going on here? Should us GOG owners of the game be concerned if the relationship between GOG and Hello Games is going bad?

Just try and be patient. The price will fall.
