When the game is in full screen, menu layouts do not actually reflect selection boxes: Buttons near the bottom of the screen (My profile and so on) must be selected from 3/4'th of a text line below the text itself. This does not persist in windowed mode, or when in the maximized windowed mode stated below:

When alt-tabbing, the game reverts into a maximized window mode, but does not allow the selection of other windows, kinda. Regardless of the window in focus, the game window will always stay on top, even tho I can minimize windows via selection from the task bar.

Borderless fullscreen is just bugged to the point of uselessness, for the reason stated above, and due to the right and bottom margins have a gap of about 5 pixels from the edge of the monitor.

Non-glitch complaints:

There is no support for the Logitech Rumblepad 2. I'm not sure of other controllers, as I don't have any others to test.

Nitpicks:

The "Fade to Black Fullscreen" is a bit counter-productive IMO, and feels unpolished. It gives the illusion that the game is running in Borderless, when it is not.

The rotation based aiming is akward for somebody used to cursor based aiming.

Generally, and I have no idea why, but the menus at least just feel janky. It just feels like it lacks some form of polish. Legitimately, I have no idea why it feels like that, I just thought I'd point it out for the sake of making it known.

I don't mean to be too harsh, I just hope to point things out so that they may be fixed or altered in which to make a better game. Thank you for your time.

Really? I don't have that issue but it sounds irritating.

For better Alt-tabbing, try
Display: Full Screen
Window on De-focus: Enabled

I agree that "Borderless Window" is pretty ugly!

For shame! This game is really designed for controllers. (I play with the Xbox One thingie)

Sorry, I didn't really get that!

Yes. It always feels awkward to play a different game than what you're used to. To get an idea of what this game is about, take a look at some gameplay from Robotron 2048:
https://youtu.be/Nq1MKU-MX_4?t=9m11s

Nex Machina is very heavily inspired by that game. Games like this require that the player can change shooting direction instantly. Try to imagine if the player had to move a little cursor around to change shooting direction. It's simply way too slow!

In the Options menu, the game offers 3 different kinds of controls:
Controllers: Xbox controllers are supported. Note that you can both use thumbpads to move or shoot, or you can use D-pad + ABXY buttons for traditional 8 direction movement shooting.
Keyboard and mouse: Keep the left mouse down and move in the direction you wish to fire.
Keyboard only: Limits you to eight direction movement and shooting, but the good thing is that you have 100 % precise aim. Pressing a controller thumbpad are less precise, at least for me.

So some efforts have been made to give the player some different input options. But not cursor based aiming, because that would break the gameplay.

Interesting to see the reasoning, thank you for the info, it's much appreciated.

Good job.

Also: The "Buttons near the bottom of the screen (My profile and so on) must be selected from 3/4'th of a text line below the text itself." issue sems to be inconsistant, I can't get it to recreate consistantly. My apologies.
x360ce works perfectly with this game, so I got my Rumblepad 2 to work.
