I'm embarassed to put up this noobish questions, however: How do I use potions on other characters in the OC?
My character is loaded with potions and buffs, so I put the one I need in a quickslot, then click on the character that needs (say) healing. So far, what happens is that my character drinks the potion. '
I've tried clicking on the NPC character then the potion, and the potion seems to disappear with no effect. Please, what is the effing sequence for using or transferring items or buffs to NPCs?
Thanks so much.

According to PnP rules, potions only work on the consuming character. They cannot target a location, item or another character. Potions can be fed to an NPC by dropping the potion from the player's inventory onto the NPC's portrait (or onto the NPC itself).

You have to distribute the potions amongst your party. Unlike many spells, which can target other party members, potions are exclusively used by the party member in who's inventory and quickslot they are placed. Split the stack of potions (right click on the potions and select the command from the scroll down menu which will appear) and pass them around your party. After that, assign them to the quickslot of every party member so that they are easier to use. You can also use them from the inventory by right clicking but that is rather inefficient way of conducting battles. :)

Hope this helps. Feel free to ask for further clarification if you find yourself in a dilemma again. There is no need to be embarrassed.
