I have been experiencing a wierd glitch. The walk animation works just fine but the character moves in a stuttering pattern. Everything runs great, but when someone moves, it's like he is being teleporter a few feet away and the camera tries to follow him in the same glitchy manner.

Can anyone help me?

I bet this is NWN2.

This is a known issue where, the game engine bases animation timing on some uptime related variable it gets from Windows (WTH?), and when your computer has been on for days, the animation gets janky.

To fix, you can reboot your computer, use the NWN2 client extender, Or apply this little hack that someone did for Jade Empire which uses the same base game engine and has the same problem:

Works great on Jade Empire and NWN2 and possibly others.
And if it does happen to be NWN1, it's probably your processor.

NWN1 needs to be pinned in Windows to a single CPU core/thread in order to work properly, it is not happy with being scheduled across multiple cores on a multicore processor. A number of games from that era have that problem with multicore CPUs as well, although I can't name any as famous; you can't really blame the devs seeing as it wasn't till about 2004-05 (Athlon X2, Pentium D) that multiple cores were available in mainstream systems (before that you had to have dual Xeons or Pentium Pros, which few gamers would be expected to have ...).

(OTOH, I'm not sure why some games developed the hiccup on multiple core processors and others didn't, e.g., none of the Baldur's Gate engine games had the issue, and neither AFAIK did titles like Arcanum or Unreal Tournament/UT2004... as I said, NWN1 seems to be the most famous example of such a title)

The default install of GoG NWN is pinned to the first core of your CPU.

Oddly enough you will see people suggest unpinning it, or pinning it to a different core.

In reality people suggest many things that don't matter at all.

I have tested it pinned and unpinned. It makes no difference at all.
