I want to go for the Warpriest archetype with my Cleric but for whatever reason it requires you to have 5 ranks in spot. Let's take aside the fact that it makes no sense to begin and look at the fact that Clerics have a terrible skill point allotment and I need the 4 a level I have for Concentration, Lore, Spellcraft and Diplomacy. The cost to get a non-class skill for a class that gets poor skill points is just enormous. Does anyone know how I can somehow remove that requirement in the game files or something?

You don't really need lore and spellcraft. They're nice to have, but concentration is by far your most dominant combat-skill and diplomacy your most dominant talking skill. You can easily sacrifice a few ranks in spellcraft and lore without suffering any setbacks.

The able learner feat is a great way to cut down on cross-class skill penalties. If you're playing a class with tight skill restrictions and you need to have a breadth of different skills then it's a great pick.

If you really want to get around this, the easiest way would be to use the console to raise your intelligence by 2 points (which would give you 1 extra skill point per level), then drop it back down after you've got your five ranks. See here for instructions on how to use the console to do this.

This easiest way, in my opinion, is to edit the 2da-file controlling this.

Go into the Data-folder of the game and look for the file 2da.zip. Open it and extract the file cls_pres_wprst.2da. Then open this file with a text-editor, like notepad, and remove the line containing Spot. Save it, and place the file in the Override-directory in the My Docs-folder of NWN 2.
