I've been reading up on the bridging modules, and wanted to see what people recommend. In particular I have a couple of concerns:

-The Nether Scrolls sounds linear and railroad-y, and may possibly have dialogue options, journal entries, and other RP-type stuff that may not be character-appropriate.

-Shadohaunt evidently has a problem with showering the player with too much gold and too many good items, which I really don't like the sound of. Don't want to risk ruining HotU by having too much awesome stuff.

-There were some other bridging mods but none of them have been updated very recently. And from what I understand the previous two were the contest winner and the runner-up, respectively.

Does anyone have any particular recommendation as to which module to try? If I skipped using a bridge module and just imported my character into HotU, would I feel like I missed out on something important?
Just in case it could figure into the recommendation, the character in question is a Lawful (barely lawful) Evil Cleric/Blackguard.

There's an inventory wipe at the start of HotU, so no need to worry about that since you'll lose it all anyway.
You get the items back in HotU near the end of chapter 1 in a Drow Chest :P
