I have so many of these Scroll of Freedom, yet no idea where to go.

Anyone know where I can use them?

Damn, I forgot the name of the map, but if I recall correctly, on the map where you have several allied horsemen (that you can send ahead to engage the orcish marauders in the area), there is a point on the map where you can use the Scroll of Freedom to release a powerful Outsider. (Who isn't very happy to see you.) That was the only use I ever found for the Scrolls of Freedom, however, so maybe just sell the extras?

There WERE some odd things in that module.

I never managed to find out why that cougar was standing there snarling on that map, there didn't seem to be anything hidden, maybe a druid could do something
