Ok, I have a rather curious problem here (playing on Windows 7). The game crashes (the program stopped working), but only with every other attempt :-D. I swear, I run the game fine, but when I close it and try to run it again, it crashes. After the crash it works fine again and then the whole thing just repeats. I really don't get it.

I should probably say that I use some mods, but those are all tested (Project Q + Campaings Q, Henchem + battle AI, CEP)...

Have you already tried renaming nwmain.exe and then starting the game with this file? Sounds silly, but helps under certain circumstances.

It's unfortunately a very common problem, NWN 1 crash sometimes at startup on Windows 7, no definiteve solution exist in my knowledge

Executing the .exe directly (nwmain.exe) without the launcher, and activating compatibility mode for Windows XP SP2 does reduce the crashes significantly, provided you do not skip the beginning cinematic/movies too quickly, otherwise depending on your graphical driver crash is guaranteed

Mine crashes every few days, but it only takes a second or two to get it back up again.

The game is not without its problems though, I cant watch cutscenes for example, which tbh is no big loss in NWN :)

This may seem silly but, do you have Shiny Water turned off? If not, then try that.

Also try to run the game as an Admin if not doing so now.
