The problem i'm having may not be a critical one, but it sure is annoying and it kills my RP immersion :( Basically in the single player original campaign, when your character first meets certain NPCs and enters dialog mode, there are 3 things you can say - somethin non rude, something rude and goodbye. My problem is that if I select the non rude option the NPC reacts as if I selected the rude option (selecting the rude option works as expected). This sucks. I have of course installed the 1.69 critical rebuild and I also installed the 1.71 community patch from NWN vault but that did not fix this. I wasn't able to find anything when Googling this problem so I fear this might not be a common problem. Has anyone had this issue? And does anyone have any idea what I could do to try and fix this?

If you're playing in the original campaign, some NPCs will react negatively to you if you have less than 10 Charisma. They'll react positively if you have more than 14 Charisma and neutrally for 10-14 Charisma.

Do you have a low Charisma?

This isn't a thing in the other campaigns and is stupid overall -- having lower Charisma doesn't make you rude.
Oooh, I see. Thanks for pointing that out, my character does have only 8 charisma. I never would have thought it was because of that. It does seem like a rather odd design choice, but oh well, guess I'll have to change my stat balance up with cheat codes. Glad to know my game isn't bugged and all. :)
