Hi there-

I just installed NWN Diamond. Just after I launch the game the music plays and when I select Play Game the NWN eye logo comes up and sticks there for about 5 seconds and then the application crashes. Anyone experience anything like this?

I'm on Win7. Dual booting on a late 2010 iMac i7.

Any help would be much appreciated.

It;s pretty generic problem. Some things to try:

- run the game as an administrator
- run directly from nwmain.exe, not launcher
- switch to windowed mode

BTW, do you receive any error message?

About windowed mode that is not on my list at least and I really hope it is not necessary to use that....the game is nicer in full-screen mode.

I noticed the issue with fullscreen couple of times in the past but thankfully no longer as of now. I just add that out of habit.

If you're on Windows Vista/7, running NWN as administrator will most likely fix your problem.

I have the same problem on my laptop. Bypassing the launcher works for me.
