So, I've been playing Neverwinter Nights 2, and having a lot of fun with it!
But my character is gaining a decent number of levels now, and as I'm playing a wizard, my hotbars are starting to fill up with spells.
(Only more so Zhjaeve's hotbars, which are already insufficient to her spellbook.)
Now, the game offers additional hotbars, which can be enabled from the options menu. And indeed, if I do so, I get a whole new set of slots in which to assign things!
... If they would actually accept such assignments, that is. Because they don't. :/
While the first vertical- and horizontal- hotbars appear to work just as expected--I can drag and drop to and from them, as well as select items in them--the second vertical- and horizontal- hotbars don't seem to accept dragging-and-dropping of items onto them. As a result, I can't put things into them. :/
(It does look like they respond to the mouse hovering over or clicking on them, however, suggesting that if I could get something into them it should be usable.)
Does anyone know how these hotbars might be made to work?
For reference, I'm running the game under Linux, using WINE via the Lutris launcher.
So far I've tried activating and deactivating both the secondary and primary hotbars--even at one point leaving only the secondary vertical hotbar active. So far to no avail!
PS:
I have belatedly found that the main horizontal hotbar has multiple layers, which might help. But I do worry that anything that's not in the "current" layer is likely to be forgotten, and so I'd prefer to just have more on-screen slots.
I am also aware of the "quick-cast" menu--but the icons there are rather smaller than in the hotbars, so I'd prefer to not use that for the most part.
