Hello,

did anyone manage to install, much less run NWN2 GoG on Linux? I at least managed to start the installer using wine 1,5,27, but it crashes with a blank pop-up towards the end.

I'm running debian testing with wine 1.4.1 and having bought and downloaded NWN2 on the weekend, it installed fine for me, but I always use the /nogui switch with new installers.

Had to follow the instructions on the nwn2 wine page and some to get it to actually start (had to actually disable builtins for the two dlls you need to copy).
So just to get this right:
you copied "devenum.dll" and "dxdiagn.dll" into your windows/system32 folder, then set the override to disable,
you ran wine /nogui NWinstaller (whatever that is called)?

The installation takes like half an hour before it crashes, and that's a bit of a while to just test something I only half understood ;)

/nogui is a switch on the gog installers that turns off the new rubbish.

so its

wine ./setup_nwn2_complete_2.1.0.6.exe /nogui

then copy devenum.dll and dxdiagn.dll from a real windows installation into the NWN2 directory and in the libraries tab of winecfg set devenum.dll and dxdiagn.dll to native only.
null sorry
