It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

So I just picked up NWN2 and was playing around in the tutorial, messed up, and went to load a save but there's nothing listed in the Load screen. I can find the load files in the proper folder, but can't seem to get access to them within the game.

Is there something I'm missing?

Thanks!

P.S.
1. Any recommendations for things to install for better gameplay?
2. Please forgive me if this is a repeat, but didn't see anything in the forums.
That's very odd.

The only thing I can think of is to check your nwn2.ini (in the game's install directory, not the my documents folder.)

In there, there should be an entry reading "SAVES=.\saves"

You can try to change that value to the full path of your saves directory, which will hopefully cause the game to recognise where your savegames are.

As for stuff to install: there are a number of helpful/neat overrides you can find on neverwintervault.org (and maybe on nexus as well) Which ones you need is up to you.

Some of my favourites include:

* Spell Fixes and improvements Fixes of lots of bugs. You can choose whether you also want rebalanced/changed spells.
* Adonnay's Elven Weaponry Makes swords and some other weapons look MUCH better. I really hate how weapons in NWN2 look like giant plastic nerf bats or something. This doesn't fix all weapons (axes still stink) but does make at least some of them look good.
* Less Obstrusive Spell Buffs. In NWN2, you more or less need to cast 15 gazillion buffing spells on your party in order to be effective in tougher fights. This override makes it so you can still see your character when you do. Must have.

All these should go in your mydocuments override directory, by the way.
You haven't redirected your documents folder to OneDrive or some other cloud server have you?

If your have redirected you Documents folder to the clouds to free up space on your C: drive.
You can get NWN2 to save to any physical location on your PC by adding the Home switch to the shortcut.

"G:\Games\NWN2 Complete\nwn2main.exe" leave a space & then -home"E:\NewPlace"

Then everything normally put in your documents folder will go there, including your saves. see pic:

I find Charlie's Appearence Changer is a must.
It allows you to change the look of any new armor of clothing you get, while keeping it's stats.

This is the default starting robe, made to look like ChimneyFish's sorceress robe.

Thanks for the suggestions. Didn't work for me (somehow just led to the game duplicating the ini) but I'll definitely check out the installs you suggested. Cheers!
