I'm looking for a massive overhaul that rewrites all of the classes and balancing from the ground up in line with more modern mechanics. Particular requirements:

Beginning levels are un-fun and downright moronic, taking way too much time because everyone's missing 2/3 of their attacks. Greatly decrease chance to miss, or even make everything hit by default and missing being reserved for specific blocking, parrying, or debuffs.

Make multiclassing and hybrid characters much more viable. There are way too many ineffective combinations; other builds only take a few levels in a class to grab free feats.

Decrease dependence on resting and consumables, make everything dynamic and regenerating. Winning a fight should be about player skill and proper use of mechanics instead of attrition and RNG.

Make non-casters actually fun to use. More special attacks on par with modern MMORPGs. Improved scaling.

Remove "save or die" mechanics, limit stuns. Add diminishing returns.

Just play a different game. You have done nothing but complain about how this one works and now you describe turning it into a totally different game.

NWN isn't for everyone.

Why don't you just look for a game you like, instead of wasting our time with your endless complaints.

You're simply not going to find this for NWN1. That game was built around the D&D 3.0 ruleset, and as such is simply not "in line with more modern mechanics." Like it or not, dependence on resting and consumables is a pretty core part of all versions of the D&D rules, and low level players pretty much do suck at combat.

Bear in mind that NWN1 was first released 15 years ago. Even NWN2 is 11 years old at this point. D&D-based games are very different mechanically from MMOs. Simulated dice rolls determine success in combat; player skill lies in one's ability to build and equip an effective character within that framework.

From your list of requirements, you may enjoy playing Dragon Age: Origins or The Witcher more so than NWN1.
