I just installed NWN2 for the first time. After reaching the main game, all the character movements are jerky as though they have a super low framerate. When ordered to move, the character runs in place, then just appears a short distance away, runs in place again, appears farther along again. This happens for the npc characters as well.

I have tried reducing the graphics settings to minimum and that has not helped. I should be able to run this game fine given its age and my graphics card. I use an AMD Radeon HD 6570 if that helps.

Anyone had this problem and know of a fix?

How long since you rebooted your computer?
If it's been a while, try that.

OK, I dont know why, but that seems to have worked. I restarted and now the animations are smooth. Thanks!

It has to do with the timers the game uses, they run out or get full if the PC has been powered on too long.
If rebooting every now and then is a hassle, Skywings' NWN2 Client Extension stops it from happening.
