Are there anything that hints towards a GOG release? Since Steam Workshop is a big part of the NWN: EE community contributions, I can't see how they will implement it without fragmenting the already relatively small community all over the place.

To quote Tolkien:
"“I feel thin, sort of stretched, like butter scraped over too much bread.”

At least I would prefer all eggs in one basket, be it GOG or Steam.

Beamdog Trent Oster said in their stream it's a matter of time for GOG. He said Hours, Days, Weeks, so no ETA.

He didn't say why the delay.

PeterScott: Where is the justification for doubling the price of an ancient game?
The only justification is if they clean up all the hard coding and switch to soft coding so that problems that frustrated modders would be resolved. That would add life to the game.

It's sad that the game looks so awful, though. It really needs a remastered edition, not an enhanced edition.
Maybe It would be better to just keep our GOG version...I played the EE on a friend's PC and It doesn't work great with Linux and I'm unable to see the improvements for the Windows version /:
*sad*

No, it doesn't need anything at all. A new game would be better. Call it a reimagining if you like.
Would be nice of pre-existing NWN Diamond owners get a bit of a discount :P

We usually do, let's just wait for it to be released first
But will there also be a DVD-ROM version of it? Because there are images of Neverwinter Nights Enhanced Edition on DVD-ROM everywhere. SO i was thinking if this could be a hoax or maybe it would be possible.
Probably there will eventually be a boxed/collector's edition on DVD.

As for GOG, the official news is that both parties are speaking to each others

Can you also use your characters, which you made in Neverwinter Nights Enhanced Edition, in the original Neverwinter Nights Diamond?
This I don't know. I would assume that the Diamond could be imported in the EE, but maybe not the other way around.

Maybe user on Steam or on Beamdog forum have tested this

Characters must be supported, as tons of third party modules supply characters. It would break them if they didn't.

Really the game isn't really different from a mechanical standpoint, yet.

The incompatibilities mostly exist going backwards. Building new modules in EE, they won't work in NWN:DE.
Quick question for those who have played NWN EE from either Steam or Beamdog: Does the game run cooler now than the original?

Old games tend to run quite hot due to the way the utilize the CPU, which is a problem Beamfox fixed with the EEs of the BG saga and IWD. I'd like to know if they did the same with NWN.

Thanks.
I watched last Friday stream, they are still working on the CDKey system. From my understanding GOG had to manually enter the Key while Steam no. They want to ease the process.

They also said that at first they wanted to wait for the next build before releasing, but they may create a build just for GOG so it release early.
Will we still be able to have Lan games on the EE version?
