I got the NWN diamond edition from GoG a little while ago, did the thing to get CDkeys and all. And only recently have I tried to use the DM client. Only to find it doesn't work.

So far I've gone through the obvious things of rebooting, reinstalling to make sure it wasn't anything corrupted on my end. That didn't work.

Trying to add '-dmc ' to the end of a shortcut command line results in this error:

"The name 'C:\~directorystuff~\nwnmain.exe -dmc' specified in the Target box is not valid. Make sure the path and file name are correct."

trying to use the NWN launcher and selecting the DM client from that results in the splash screen but no DM client boot up.

The regular game client works fine, as does the toolset, I've tried both with and without NWNCX patches and additions.

Not sure what to tell you, I just tested my GOG download and it works just fine in the DM client (with NWNCX). Did you install the 1.69 critical rebuild?
I did manage a work around, after trying the critical rebuild (which didn't really help in the way I might have wanted.)

I had to run nwn.exe in compatibility mode as an admin to get the DM client to launch. the -dmc commandline tag still returns as invalid though.
