I got Good Old Games awhile ago. I bought some games I always wanted to play, Neverwinter Nights series and Planescape. It took me awhile to actually get to playing them, but I've been looking forward to it.

Now that I have, I realize, likely far too late for a refund, nothing works. Planescape barely runs, everything is flickery and intolerable. Neverwinter Nights Diamond crashes in the prologue within seconds of starting no matter what I try.

And Neverwinter Nights 2, whenever whenever I attempt to install it, it instantly fails, citing a "disk access error." I have disabled my anti-virus, I've added GoG to its whitelist, I've disabled autoupdating, I've shut down and tried over and over again. Nothing works. I'm very frustrated and disappointed, I had none of these troubles with Steam and Baldur's Gate.

Is there any solution to this install issue?

That definitely sounds like a permissions issue. Have you administrator privileges with your user account? Also what are your computer's hardware specs and OS?

I'm an admin, yeah, it's my personal computer. I've gotten Neverwinter 1 to run, though I have to try repeatedly and click "Run as Administrator". I still can't get 2 to install, and that's the one I really wanna play, I hear it's amazing. My computer is WIndows 10.

Operating System
Windows 10 Home 641
Memory (RAM)
4GB
Processor
AMD Quad-Core A-Series processor
Screen Size
15.6"

These are the specs. GoG app keeps trying to automatically install neverwinter 2 when it starts up, but it fails each time, I dunno if that's relevant.
