Game crashing after i create a character and i try to start a game. Crash happens when nearly game gets loaded.

Who else has problems like me? Help?

Game crashes at startup. Couldn't even enter the game, yet. Never experienced something similar with any other game in my vast library...

I figured I'd contribute to this thread. I have a game crash during the main campaign where after I start the second fight (The one with the Dueregar on the bridge) the game crashes. Though it may be a gametime crash due to me crashing after a few minutes.

Also having issues with crashes
I go to make a new character, I click on either of the bottom race option and the games freezes, before crashing. Happened three times now. Clicking on the other race options works fine.
Crash box says:
"The instruction at 0x00007FF7128417FC referenced memory at 0x0000000000000020. This memory could not be read"

Game crashing at startup for me too.

Sadly it has happened a few times for me with other games but very rarely and NOT a good sign

I made it all the way through Chapter 0, got the shard and was talking to people before heading to Neverwinter. Problem was, Aime's cutscene never played during the invasion of the town. So even when we went into the swamp, there was a blank portrait in our party where she used to be.

When I spoke to Tarmas, it tried to run Aime's cutscene and the game crashed.

I found out in another thread: in case you happen to have installed the NWN2 Complete edition in the past, there might still be the savegame/options directory left. In ...\documents\neverwinter nights 2

This might cause a conflict since the Enhanced Edition apparently uses the same folder... so just delete that folder and start the game. worked well for me!

I bought this game in the steam - and steam version works just fine,no problems...

Going to refund GOG version.

Same here. Game starts off-center on my screen, and either moving the window or hitting maximize causes it to immediately freeze.

The game was stuttering badly, freezing for a few seconds every once a while... And then crashed during the attack on the village when it tried to show the fight scene with the mage.


And after touching the graphic settings, and even after turning them back to defaults, it's now crashing when trying to select Planetouched, Gray Orc or Yuan-Ti in character creation. 10 / 10 experience.
