My characters are invisible, everything is invisible that is supposed to have a metallic texture.

I was going to try the catalyst AI fix, but I can't find afore mentioned Catalyst AI anywhere on this new Catalyst menu.

Please help. This is driving me insane.

Does this help at all?

"You may find increased performance by disabling/turning down the Catalyst AI in your Catalyst Control Panel's 3D settings. In the newer VISION Engine Control Center, this can be accomplished in the advanced view by creating a new profile for nwmain.exe under Gaming - 3D Application Settings, then, under Texture Filtering, setting "Texture Filtering Quality" to "Performance" and "Surface Format Optimization" to "Off." For some reason this may make your character disappear. To make your character reappear, go into the ingame video options and disable Environment Mapping on Creatures."

Also...

Are you running in admin mode?

Are you running it in compatibility mode windows XP service pack 3?

Did you install it to the C drive directly rather than Program Files?

Have you run the 1.69 critical rebuild?

Admin mode: Yes,

No idea what that means

yes

Didn't know that was a thing. Looking into that right now.

also in my... uhh... hysteria... I think I should've made it clearer that I wanted the shiny textures back.

It means if you select the properties for nwn.exe, nwnmain.exe, etc that your system will try to pretend it's that operating system, which can help.

No it did not. Tried it all last night.

And what I meant was i didn't know what the service pack 3 was
So it's still the same problem? Have you tried updating your video card drivers?

Did that today. My drivers were already up to date it says.
At this point I'd probably make sure you're doing everything in this thread:

http://forum.bioware.com/topic/128877-nwn-1-technical-support-self-help-starts-here/

May want to post on that forum as well, far more eyes (and more people familiar with these kinds of technical problems).

Okay, thanks for trying anyway.
