Hello. I received a reply to my request for a multiplayer CD key with instructions (thank you GOG customer support!) but I'm not certain how to follow them.

The email came with an attachement called "nwncdkey_(my)_(email)_(address).7z" and the instructions say to extract this file and replace the nwncdkey.ini file in my NWN game folder.

Am I suppose to remove the nwncdkey.ini and put the .7z file in the folder? It doesn't seem correct because they are not the same file type.

Perhaps I am overthinking this. Any help would be appreciated.

You are. Take the file attachment that GOG sent you and extract it somewhere easy to find. I suggest your desktop. The file that is extracted will be a file called nwncdkey.ini. Copy that file into your main NWN folder (where the current nwncdkey.ini file is now). When asked if you want to replace the current file, say yes. You should now be good to go.

I found my problem. I didn't have the application to open .7z zipped files. I downloaded it and everything else made sense.
