I was playing NWN Multi when suddenly the game crashed.
since then I can't use multi. it keeps on saying my cd key is in use and to try again int 5 minuets.

What should I do?

This is usually temporary and has to do with the crash.

Just try a bit later...


Make sure to restart the game...and in worst case maybe the whole computer as well (not sure)?

That is very odd.

You did get a proper CD-key for online play from GOG by filling out the request form (in the support section for NWN) for this right?

You did install the critical rebuild patch right?

If you did that already, there are only two things left. Contacting GOG for help and/or make a post in on the Social Bioware forums for Neverwinter Nights (which is the "real" NWN1 forum).


I did hear some suspicions that GOG was using "recycled" CD-keys...but I don't think that is the problem....or hope not at least...

I need to request a cd key for GOG?
lol I didn't know.. It was working before hand and then stopped..

Is there a link I need to use to request the cd key?

To get a proper CD-key that works for online play you need to follow theese instructions:

Also you need to get the critical rebuild patch for the game
