Yes, both NWN1 and NWN2 can still be played online. The Gamespy service that both games used to list servers has been discontinued, however. See the sticky at the top of this forum for more details on working around that.

yes but does anyone know the best way to get on multiplayer ? there seems to be more than one way im curious as to which one has most active player?

hing in that stick worked for me im downloading something from http://sinfar.net/ thats supossed to get us in multiplayer its 2.2 gb ill let you know how it goes

Gamespy was really only about discovering strangers to play with. Which is nearlly a pointless way to play an RPG anyway.

I never used it.

I played on a Persistent world. You just get the IP address of that world and directly connect to it.

I also played with friends I know, by arranging a game ahead of time (much better than trying to set a pickup game with random strangers).

One person hosts the game, and shares the IP with his friends and they directly connect.

like with hamachi or something? where can we do direct connect?

Hi all and greeting from Poland. It is my first post on this forum ;-)
I have a problem with Neverwinter Night Diamod edition and i would like to ask You if someone know the solution of this.
I have get this edition from free giveaway from GOG and it works great. But I have problem with multiplayer.

One problem - when I am trying to log into internet play I am getting info that there is some problems with connecting and some fuctions of multiplayer can dont work. It makes that I cant see any online games and I cant join any of them.

Second problem - me and my brother have two different copies of NVN on two different GOOG accounts and they have two different serial nymbers (I have checked this). And when we try to play multiplayer od two different PC thre is what is happening. When I start multiplayer local game from example PC1 then PC2 cant see this game and cant join it. But when I will start multiplayer local game from PC2 then PC1 CAN see this game but when we try to join this local game we get info like this "you cant join this game because on this server there is in use your CD serial number" or something like that...

Please help me what is wrong with this or how to fix it to have possibility to play multiplayer by interenet and local game.
I hope that my english isnt so bad that You can understand what i am trying to tell.

NWN comes with a default CD key installed. If you want to play multiplayer, you have to manually change it using the CD KEY CHANGER. To do that, if you are using windows operating system,

Hit the windows key--> All Programs --> Gog.com --> NWN Diamond --> Tools --> CD Key Changer.

Put your keys here then press Save&Close. Done. Now you can join any game online..
(tip: only one of you need to do that but it wont hurt if you both do it)

You can find your unique CD key in your account--> NWN --> MORE--> Serial Keys

Ok Thanks a lot with serial numbers - IT WORKS.
But only in local games so we are able to play with my brother.
But the problem with connecting to internet multiplayer games is still on. I mean when I am trying to log to internet games is show me info " Connection to mainserver failed. Some options of multiplayer games may be not active"
And after then i get a list of internet multiplayer games but it is empty. When I click on "connect" I recive info "please try to log or connect under another (different) nickname"
This Is happening when I am trying to log under my known nichname and when i was trying with option "create new account"

Please tell me what is wrong with this multiplayers games and how to fix it.

You are getting the same messages as everyone else since gamespy no longer works. I believe the only way you can now join a server is through "Direct Connect". You click that and then write the IP and port of the person who acting as the server.

Example: 111.222.333.444:5121

You can learn your internet IP from a website like https://www.whatismyip.com/
