I have Myst Masterpiece Edition installed on a 2-in-1 laptop that I'm using in tablet mode to play. For some reason, the game only seem to register a click when I douple-tap. Does anyone know why? The interface would be easier to use if I could click with a single tap.

Yes, of course I could just play using the touchpad, or with a mouse, but playing with a tablet touchscreen would be much more convenient for me.

Any help would be appreciated, thank you.
I'm guessing, "One to Focus, one to activate", an annoying old paradigm.
That would make more sense if they allowed the timing to be more spaced out. One tap to put the cursor where I want it, and when I'm sure I'm clicking in the right spot, another in the same spot to click. But it has to be done with the same speed as a double-click.

Do you know if there is a way to change the touch controls?
Thanks.

KB301: Do you know if there is a way to change the touch controls?
The games were not developed for touchscreen interaction, so there is no known way to make adjustments to that option. While a touchscreen may work, using a mouse or keyboard is your best option.
Here's a thought I've had a whole lot later: You could try using something like KDE Connect to emulate the controls of a mouse.
