Being partial deaf doesnt help, and yes I understand that these games are really not the best for me, but I love them, so I play them. I just can not do the sound puzzels without help. I dont have anyone to help me, so I came here to ask for help. I am extremely grateful that "lancegoodale" took the time out of their day to help me.

DDDespair: For me the trouble was always that my mouse would slip while counting the octaves.

SirPrimalform: But counting isn't necessary, it's just matching the pitch...
Your right counting isn't necessary, but should people who are tone deaf or have some form of hearing loss not be allowed to play this great game series?

Bunny5838 came to us seeking help with completing this puzzle, they didn't explain to us about being partially deaf. I provided the solution that they wanted so they can continue to play this great game. I'm glad that I did now. We should never jump to conclusions about people, just cause it's easy for us doesnt mean it's easy for everyone.

I was talking about people with full hearing, but yes I should have specified.

SirPrimalform: I will never understand how so many people have so much trouble with this.

Another problem I noticed when I was making the save game for Myst Masterpiece Edition is even though the slider did move up a notch it didn't change the pitch.

Yes, but unless I played the two tones immediately after eachother, I'd likely have it 1 or 2 off. Which across 5 sliders is a lot of room for error. Keeping an exact pitch in mind while I'm running through sliders isn't the easiest thing when you have no knowledge of scales. Counting was the easiest way around this when I was little.
