So it appears that inverting the mouse does both Y and X axis. Apparently there was a mod to fix this long ago but it does not apply to the most recent patch version. I have used my Google-Fu to no avail so I am asking the community here to see if there is some new form of a solution to allow us "goofy foot" players to enjoy this game without rewiring our brains.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sincerely,

An awesome person over on the Steam forums solved the problem himself by editing one of the game's DLL files:

Download the file he links to (Assembly-CSharp.dll) and drop it into your [drive]\realMyst Masterpiece Edition\realMyst_Data\Managed directory.

Once that's done and you activate Invert Mouse in the game, your mouse should behave as expected.

It baffles me that this was never solved by the original developer.
