Does GOG have any plans on releasing the original version of Myst for us purists? I can't find it on their site...so I have to assume they aren't offering it yet. Anyone hear any rumors? Or is there a place on GOG to request games? Thanks all!

You can request games and vote for those already requested here: http://www.gog.com/wishlist/games#order=votes_total

Some games are much trickier to rerelease via GOG than others. I'd guess that even if there are no legal issues preventing the release of the original Myst, it's probably bound to have severe compatibility problems. Because of this, there's often no way to tell when (or if) a particular game can be made available here. You can vote, but you can't speed up the process - waiting is the only option.

Thanks alot for the info. I shall wait!
Just out of curiosity, what is the diferrence between the original Myst and (I assume) the Masterpiece Edition?
The Masterpiece Edition uses 24bit color graphics.
The original uses 8bit (256 colors) graphics.

Also, the original version is a 16bit app (which won't work on any 64 bit OS) while the Masterpiece Edition is a 32bit app.
Interesting, thanks!
