One last question: you're not running Win7, are you?
Because the reviews of myst masterpiece all say, there are issues with Win7.

Hi,
After several 'GOG' Helpdesk conversations we solved my problem !
Both of us were not enough aware of the 'default screen' of a saved file ! Anytime when one save a game-file, the OPENING SCREEN when load that file = THE SAME SCREEN ! [The ceiling dome].
It take lots of mails to find out that although the starting screen from each saved file is the same, the file DOES save your progress !
How "simple" can a problem be .......

Guus.
A clarification. The save location images are just a cue to help you remember were you were when the save took place. That in conjunction with the text will hopefully be enough to know what you had done up to that time. When you choose a save to load, the book that shows up has an image of where you are going. Each age seems to have only one landing spot, and the image is associated with that spot. So, for Myst Island, it is the Library and an image of the Library ceiling appears on the book, for Stoneship, it is the aft part of the ship and the lighthouse appears on the book. Any changes you had made up to the point you saved, will still be present upon your arrival.
