i want myst iv! is it a different publisher or something? why'd they skip it?

There is no official answer by GOG to anyone who asked about the skipped games in the Myst Ⅴ release topic. So it is anyone’s guess why they skipped them.
As far as producers and publishers are concerned you can check Wikipedia. Apart from Ⅲ and Ⅳ the series has been developed by Cyan Worlds (née Cyan), and all of them are published by Ubisoft except for the first two. GOG already has deals with Cyan Worlds, Ubisoft, and the maker of Myst Ⅲ: Presto Studios.
