After loading up the game once and realizing it was in full screen I decided to quit the game because of performance issues. As I posted on another thread, I couldn't get it out of win95 compatibility so I decided to reboot my computer.
Since then Myst.exe has been missing. I tried uninstalling and re-installing with no success. The executable file just ins't there!

Found my own answer but this could help future users.
Norton Antivirus 2010 thinks the files is a high threat virus and quarantines it which is why it's no longer in the folder. All you need to do is select the file in the quarantine window and restore it. It will ask you if you wish to exclude in the future - click yes.
Solved!
Now just gotta figure out how to unlock compatibility mode.
Hi
Good to know you solved your issue with missing myst.exe.

If you need for some reason to disable any of the compatibility tab properties you need to delete registry responsible for that file.
To do so you need to delete registry in both branches - HKEY_CURRENT_USER and HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE as well.
