browncoat1984: Tell me if GOG fixed the broken compatibility issue with newer versions of Quicktime?

That is the exact same question I was about to post. I already bought it to test on my 64bit Vista laptop that has the most recent iTunes on it, but my downloading speeds are crippled at the moment.... I'm looking at like 3 hours for the 400mb game :( If no one posts a reply before then, I will post my results with all 3 ..... vista, 64, and iTunes/Quicktime.
I have
iTunes 9.0.2.25
QuickTime 7.6.5 (1327.80)
Windows 7 x64
Just started Myst and clicked around a bit. Seems to work ok. The sound seems overamplified though.
I agree about the sound... I finally got my myst to run after taking out compatibility mode for win 95.... now its running on my 64bit vista... yay.... does seem to be a bit more grainy in visual and audio than I remember.... but hey, it sure beats my copies that won't run anymore :D
btw... I am also running iTunes and newest Quicktime and it seems to be working
Yes, it does. A couple months ago I found my old Myst CD and installed it on my laptop, but no cinematics would work- no book cutscenes, no "you solved this puzzle" animations (specifically the one next to the clock tower). I bought this version with the hope it would work and everything that didn't work in the CD version works with the digital one.
It can't fix the issues Quicktime has with 64-bit Windows though. Apple needs to get their asses together.
