Is anyone else's game crashing repeatedly lately? This forum might be dead, so maybe it's not the best place to ask.
Mee too.
My Error log starts with:

XInput1_4.dll caused an Access Violation (0xc0000005)
in module XInput1_4.dll at 0033:59d93bf1.
There's a possible fix I think if you find the 1_3 version of that file somewhere and rename it to 1_4.

it was gamescope on linux.
Game is working fine form me on Windows 10 64 bit
Late to the program here, so you probably already figured out that's an Xbox controller issue.

I'd be hesitant to just rename another dll, as that could easily change you from repeated crashing of Portia to repeated crashing of Windows.

The easiest answer is to unplug your controller and play keyboard/mouse. The best going forward if you have to use a controller is updating to at least Windows 10. If you don't want to leave Win7 for whatever reason, you can see if you can get a copy of the install from GOG from before it was patched for Win10, under the assumption that the patch removed support for the older version of the dll.
