I purchased Mount and Blade Warband when it came out. Can anybody tell me if I buy the Napoleonic Wars DLC from GOG, will it work with my old purchase or do I need to buy the basic game as well?

It appears not.

I have exactly this setup - a long-time installed copy of M&B Warband. When I ran the NW installer I got the attached.

You *should* be able to register your game keys from any Store (Steam, GoG, etc) on Taleworlds web site.

Notice the registration link in the top-right.

Download the installers for Warband & Napoleonic Wars from their site and mix them that way.

I've had no problems using their installers & registering with my GoG provided serial keys.

You cannot mix and match versions however. (i..e Steam Warband, GoG Napo Wars)
