I installed the enhanced EXE patch for M&B (the one that was released a while ago and cured 95% of the game's crashes, specially with custom modules, but for some reason was removed). The problem is, since this is GOG, i have no Key, and the fixed game now requires a key or else i am going to be stuck in trial mode forever, even though i actually bought the game here.

What now?

Afaik, it simply doesn't work. The enhanced exe has still got the copy protection enabled, while GOG's version hasn't. Without a legit key you can't use enhanced.
If you own Warband on GOG as well, you could try using the key that comes with it. It should also work with M&B original.
Serials floating in the Internet might work too, but there may be legal issues using them, even while owning a legit GOG copy. It's up to you.

And to the OP: As DeMignon intimated, the serial key for Warband (even the GOG version has one, because of the multiplayer) works to unlock the "enhanced" version of the original M&B (this was confirmed in another thread here); this does mean, however, that you have to either own Warband here, or own Warband or original M&B elsewhere to be able to unlock and use that "secret update"...unless you want to go fishing around on the Internet, like DeMignon mentioned.
