As the title states. i am unable to move the cursor icon but obviously the mouse is rendering invisibly because i can still select option.
As there is no option for 'hardware mouse' i am unable to resolve the issue.

The following is a rundown of the problems background.
I am using windows 7 64bit (with aero glass theme) & am using a razer orochi (which usually presents no problems to programs but hey),
i have set the .exe to compatability mode with XP service pack3,
I have disabled windows composition and visual themes.

I had the same problem yesterday, I followed what GOG said to do on the support page (http://www.gog.com/support/mount_blade_warband/keyboardmouse_not_working), but what ended up being my problem is that I had Windows set to use extra big font. (Control Panel\Display) I turned it down to smaller and it cleared my mouse issues up right away. Try that or any other non "default" display settings on your rig.

Good luck,
Philip Dow

Yeah i did a little research last night into it; turns out that's the go. It's still a half arse solution, but not as bad as a i thought it was going to be.
I had the same problem, and this fixed it. :)
