How do the GOG versions handle CD music - I know at least MR2 uses it.

And are there still issues running in D3D and on netbooks without CD/DVD drives?

There are a series of .WAV files in the game directory.

D3D works fine for me with the new version.

Cool! Do you know if the other games work fine as well? And would I need a third party CD/DVD drive emulator to run this, as my laptop has no optical drive?

Don't know. I only have MotoRacer 2. Unsure about the DVD drive stuff.
I just bought all three games yesterday and they all work fine. You don't need a CD/DVD emulator and even if you did, GOG would include it in the package.

Did you run them on a laptop/netbook which doesn't have a DVD drive?

Ah, I see what you mean. I thought you were asking if you needed a CD emulator to get the CD music. Motracer 1 and 2 will freak out over the lack of a CD drive, Motoracer 3 has no problem with it.

All right, thanks! I want to avoid installing CD emulators for fear of some of my Steam games' DRM (Securom etc) freaking out of it...
Dose not work for me.:(
Whatever I do I can not start Solo play in the game it only asks for Music CD all the time.
And that the game STILL need (as in not patched) 16bit display to even start is just stupid.
these $ are just down the drain. :(
