Hi everyone I been playing the hell out of all three Mortal Kombat games. I really enjoy these ports of classic arcade games. But it seems to be Kintaro is a little too hard to beat. I am not bad at MKII since I grew up with Genesis version. I was wondering if anyone had tricks to help with that?
Home system versions for the most part were easier than arcades. PC versions actually have arcade AI, so that's the reason why it's harder.
That being said, this fight is still relatively simple. Bear in mind I haven't played the game in quite some time and I'm writing from memory, but it still should be accurate enough.
Your most important tool is leg sweep (back + LK) unless you are playing with Kitana or Mileena (they have a little too much recovery on that move). The core strategy is: leg sweep, jump back, repeat (or, if you are fast enough to react to it - leg sweep - jump back on block, another leg sweep on hit). He may block but he has no way to punish it. The only tricky part is getting out of the corner. React to stupid stuff he does - any punish for jump forward or taunt, jump kick for teleport stomp before he lands. I hope it helps.
certain abilities can be exploited like baraka's blade fan move.
