Is this not literally DRM? I buy through gog explicitly to avoid DRM taking the legal route and to make sure the devs get paid. Is there any intent to remove the DRM nonsense, and enable local lan/local machine coop or is this a deliberate neutering of this gameforcing it to be aforgotten relic? I almost bought it, until i see those major red flags.

Yeah, i regret buying it. Thinking it was LAN-multi.
I actually liked the gameplay but alas ... once the servers are dead, its just another solo ephemeral experience...worth neither time or money in 2025 and beyond.

GOG really needs to label LAN and Online multi properly on their storepages.
