Hello,
I can start the game without problems, but when i finished the introsequence (sinking the pirate ship) the title screen for act 1 appears and then......nothing it just stay there. So help is needed.

Thanks
Drayman
A little correction: I found out that the game does not freeze when starting Act 1 but it needs about 5-10 Minutes for the Act to start. And later while playing Act 1 some actions perform immediatly while others also include a long waiting time. For example when i give a letter to Elaine it took also about 10 minutes till the animation was done. I think about 20% of all actions take this long waiting period. That makes it unplayable (if you dont want to read a book while plying MI4 ;)

So any advice would be nice.

You should try dgVoodoo2. Scroll down and download Version 2.55.4. (newer versions give me some graphical glitches in MI4) Extract to a folder of your choice. Copy and paste the files from the "MS" folder into the MI4 game folder. Open "dgVoodooCpl.exe" and click on "Add". Choose the MI4 game folder. Click on the DirectX tab and look at the attached screenshot for the settings that works best for me. If you're done click on "Apply" and "OK". Now launch the game.

Good luck.

Aber gerne. :)

For testing purposes you should also enable the dgVoodoo watermark. It'll show you if dgVoodoo is working with the game. Another side effect is the higher resolution of the 3D parts. (Characters, doors, candles, etc.)
